Once Again From the Top...

This one has a LOT of freakin' Brownies in it.....

Singing harmoniously is one of those things that I can't imagine the Brownies would never be able to do effectively. Some of them don't have the attention span for it... others are simply Too Individualistic to blend with The Whole (which is a GOOD thing, don't get me wrong. Square pegs are my favorite types). But they will try, won't they? By their nature, they have to try everything that humans get up to, whether they are suited for the activity or not. Captain Brownie (with the moustache) is certainly proceeding with Optimism and a Positive Attitude.

It's a strange thing, but as I color these images I oftentimes find myself thinking back to the old Magic of Oil Painting show with crazy German painter William Alexander and his Mighty Brush. His disciple, Bob Ross, was almost as much of a character, but not nearly so entertaining to watch. Maybe the hours I spent watching those shows weren't wasted after all -- the kind of painting they did was very similar to this kind of coloring that I'm doing. At least, they're helping me think about layering... I used to watch those shows and laugh my head off.... isn't it a funny old world?
