This final color illustrationsfrom Palmer Cox's The Brownies Yearbook features all the Brownies gathered around an enormous (for them) Christmas pudding: a perfect symbol for the gathering of an extended family in harmony.
I'm not feeling too terribly harmonious today: I've already begun coloring work on the next card, and already I kind of regret starting this project. Before it's done I expect that I will have colored about a million Brownies, and that I will be seeing them in my sleep. I'm starting to appreciate the sheer scale of Palmer Cox's accomplishments. The updates won't be coming nearly as fast and furious from this point on -- so bear with me!
